S-a lasat de fumat si s-a ingrasat enorm, pana n-au mai recunoscut-o nici rudele. Pare ireal, dar a reusit sa dea jos JUMATATE din greutatea ei. Arata superb, nu?

Christine Carter, o tanara de 28 de ani din statul american Texas a inceput sa se ingrase in momentul in care a renuntat la fumat, pentru ca a renuntat la un viciu pentru a-l inlocui cu altul: mancatul compulsiv. Din adolescenta a fost o tanara cu forme, dar a ajuns sa cheltuie 2000 de dolari lunar pe mancare doar pentru ea. Rezultatele nu au intarziat sa apara: la 165 de centimetri, greutatea ei era de 125 de kilograme.

Momentul de cotitura a venit cand se afla la o reuniune de familie si l-a salutat pe unul dintre unchi iar barbatul a trecut pe langa ea. Se ingrasase atat de mult incat nici rudele nu o mai recunosteau. Asta a motivat-o sa incerce o operatie de micsorare a stomacului. A slabit rapid 25 de kilograme, dar alimentatia a ramas aceeasi, asa ca greutatea a inceput sa creasca si asta a ingrozit-o.

A gasit puterea de a isi schimba si stilul de viata, s-a inscris la o sala de sport si si-a schimbat obiceiurile alimentare. Rezultatele nu au intarziat sa apara. Kilogramele au inceput sa se topeasca iar asta o facea din ce in ce mai increzatoarea in fortele ei.

Dupa un an si jumatate, Christine arta de nerecunoscut:

 

It's #throwbackthursday! I just wanted to take a moment and introduce myself. I'm Christine, and I have been on such a cool journey of losing 150 pounds and gaining my life and happiness back. I like to keep it real with y'all, so here goes nothing... In August of 2014 I had the gastric sleeve surgery. I initially lost about 50 pounds, but hadn't changed my mindset, my eating habits, and I wasn't working out. Weight slowly started to creep back on. I felt like I had failed myself. Determined not to quit, I joined a gym-the Hero Training Center and found a trainer who helped me get my head in the game. In 7 months of sticking to a meal plan, working out 5 days a week, and getting a daily dose of psychological changes that were necessary---I lost 80 additional pounds. I was finally able to use the sleeve as a tool that it was intended to be. Losing all that weight left some skin behind. I worked hard, saved all I could, and was so blessed to be able to have a tummy tuck and breast lift with implants in November of last year. I lost the additional 20 pounds after this surgery. Some may look at my journey and think I didn't put in work. People are allowed to have their opinions. I know the blood, sweat, and tears that were required on THIS journey. I know the sacrifices that were made to get me from where I was to where I am. No matter where you are on YOUR journey...please don't stop here. Keep going. Keep pushing. Life the life that you have always dreamed of...it's closer than you think.

So let's talk shopping while losing weight. Holy crap-it's expensive! I lost 13 sizes from a 26 to a 2. Every time I lost another size I wanted to go buy a whole new wardrobe. (And at first, I did.) But as I lost more and more it was harder to keep up with. I'll be doing a YouTube next week on some suggestions on what to wear as you lose weight-and how to get the most out of your clothes. For now-I love places like Ross, Marshalls, and TJM. Some say I'm cheap, I say I'm smart. This dress? $11. Can't beat that.
