La un deceniu de la intrarea in Romania, Kanal D si-a consolidat permanent pozitia pe piata media locala, aflandu-se in prezent pe locul doi in topul audientelor la nivelul publicului din intreaga in tara, in Prime Time (20:00 – 24:00).

Daca in 2016, Kanal D se clasa pe pozitia a doua in top, inregistrand 6,0% Rating si o cota de piata de 14,4%, statia isi continua anul acesta trendul ascendent, inregistrand 6,3 % Rating si 15,3% cota de piata, in primele sase luni ale lui 2017, pe intervalul mai sus mentionat (vezi tabel).

In 2017, Kanal D a ajuns la o cota de piata de 10,4% la nivel national, pe intreaga durata a zilei, dupa 10 ani de crestere constanta (vezi grafic de mai jos).    

Ascensiunea statiei de-a lungul celor zece ani de existenta a fost asigurata de o abordare proprie in ceea ce priveste modelul de business si strategia de continut si comunicare a emisiunilor, dar si prin munca sustinuta si creativitatea unei echipe unite.

Kanal D a intuit si a integrat in programele sale uriasa nevoie a publicului romanesc de umor si relaxare, o abordare personala, apropiata a telespectatorilor, acordand mereu o atentie deosebita dorintelor, asteptarilor acestora.

Productiile proprii precum programale de Stiri, ”Asta-i Romania”, ”WOWBiz”,  “Te vreau langa mine”,  „Sabbagh in actiune”, „Teo Show”, „Se striga darul”, dar si productiile realizate dupa formate internationale precum “Vrei sa fii milionar?” (“Who Wants to be a Millionaire?”), “Gaseste-mi familia” (“Find my Family”), ”Roata norocului” (“Wheel of Fortune”), au readus publicul romanesc in fata unui continut pe cat de atractiv si de viu, pe atat de relevant pentru trairile şi asteptarile sale.

Kanal D s-a impus pe piata din Romania prin unicitate, prin originalitate, lansand in permanenta trenduri in materie de programe,  marturie sta si emisiunea „Bravo, ai stil!”, o combinatie inedita de reality si fashion show, ce a devenit la scurt timp de la lansare un adevarat fenomen.

Serialele turcesti sustin abordarea inovativa a Kanal D, consolidandu-i pozitia de trendsetter. In 2008 Kanal D a inceput difuzarea primului serial turcesc, „1001 de nopti”, fiind prima statie din Romania care a deschis drumul spre o noua etapa in istoria televiziunii.

Succesul serialelelor turcesti s-a dovedit a fi categoric odata cu difuzarea serialului-fenomen „Suleyman Magnificul: Sub domnia iubirii”. Cel mai controversat serial din Turcia a fost, timp de patru sezoane, lider absolut in audiente pe intervalul sau orar si a transformat Kanal D intr-un competitor imposibil de ignorat. Traditia celor mai bune seriale turcesti a continuat cu productii fenomen precum „Kosem”, „Dragoste infinita” si „Bahar”.

Statia a investit permanent in tehnologie si infrastructura, iar in toamna lui 2016 statia emitea full HD, oferindu-le consumatorilor sai o experienta vizuala in acord cu cele mai noi trenduri ale pietei.

Kanal D continua sa ofere telespectatorilor cele mai bune si relevante productii de televiziune si, de asemenea, sa fie un partener onest, preocupat de problemele reale ale comunitatii, dar si de nevoia de relaxare si optimism a romanilor de pretutindeni.


In the decade since entering the Romanian media market, Kanal D has continuously consolidated its position and the station is currently ranked second in terms of audience performance, at country level, in Prime Time (20:00 - 24:00). If in 2016 Kanal D ranks second in the rankings, with a 6.0% rating and a 14,4% market share, the station continues its upward trend this year, registering 6.3% rating and 15.3% audience share in the first six months of 2017, in the above-mentioned hourly interval (see tables).

In 2017, Kanal D reached a 10.4% market share nationwide, at all day level, after 10 years of steady growth (see graph below). Chart 2 

The station’s performance evolution over the ten years of broadcast has been ensured by its own business model and an innovative content and communication strategy, but also by the sustained work and creativity of a determined team.  Kanal D has intuited and integrated into its programs the huge need of the Romanian public for humor and relaxation, a personal approach that is closer to the viewers, always paying special attention to their desires and expectations.
Internal productions such as News programs, "Asta-i Romania", "WOWBiz", "Te vreau langa mine", "Sabbagh in actiune", “Ochii din umbra”, "Teo Show", "Se striga darul", but also the productions of famous  international formats like "Who wants to be millionaire?", "Find my Family", "Wheel of Fortune", brought the Romanian public content that is both attractive and fresh, but also relevant to its experiences and expectations.
Kanal D strengthened its position on the Romanian media market through strong differentiators, unique content and originality, constantly launching trends such as the show "Bravo, ai stil!", a novel mix of reality and fashion show, which soon after launch became a real phenomenon. 
The Turkish series are the spearhead of Kanal D’s innovative approach, consolidating its trendsetter position. In 2008, Kanal D was the first station broadcasting the Turkish series – “1001 Nights" – changing consumption behavior in terms of novellas and forging a new chapter in the history of television. The success of the Turkish series has been reaffirmed with the series-phenomenon "Suleyman Magnificul: Sub domnia iubirii". The most controversial series in Turkey was, for four seasons, the absolute leader in audiences on its hourly segment and turned Kanal D into an unmatched competitor. This tradition of compelling Turkish series continued with winning streak productions, such as "Kosem", "Dragoste infinita" and "Bahar".
The station continuously invested in technology and infrastructure, and in 2016, with the launch of the fall season, the station started broadcasting in full HD, giving consumers a visual experience in line with the latest market and technological trends.
Kanal D continues to provide viewers with the most relevant and highest quality television productions, in line with the expectations and needs for relaxation and optimism of Romanians everywhere and to also be an honest partner, concerned with the community’s real issues.
